We recommend and have used on our projects the Insulslab SFRC high quality foundation system. Insulslab SFRC is quicker to install, more environmentally friendly, offers high thermal performance and significant cost savings.

Insulslab SFRC system is based on a type of raft foundation which comprises a number on interlocking polystyrene pods which form a substantially rigid “waffle” shaped slab. Steel fibre reinforced concrete manufactured by ArcelorMittal is poured over the top to form the complete Insulslab SFRC foundation.

Benefits include simplicity and speed of construction, safer to install as there are fewer and shallower foundations and is capable of achieving between 0.10-0.25 W/m2k thermal performance.

Insulslab SFRC is BBA, NHBC/LABC and Premier Guarantee approved and is recommended by the BRE. Insulslab SFRC system fully complies with Part L of the Building Regulations without requiring additional insulation and screed.
